Welcome to the Spring 2023 GSACS Virtual Student Conference and Career Workshop!

During the spring 2023 semester, 27 international virtual exchange projects are took place between students at BMCC, Guttman, Hostos, LaGuardia, and Queens College and students at Abdelmalek Essaadi University, The American University in Cairo, Jordan University of Science and Technology, and Palestine Ahliya University. We invited student teams to discuss their projects at the synchronous conference and gallery of asynchronous presentations, attend a workshop with our keynote speaker, and learn about how the GSACS experience can help them pursue a successful career path. Our esteemed keynote speaker was Ahmed OsmanMSEd-HEA  

Ahmed serves as a student life specialist at The City University of New York, Central Office of Student Affairs. His portfolio includes student life, student orientation, residence life and student leadership training and development. 

As the director of The Ernesto Malave Leadership Academy, he designs and conducts customized trainings, workshops, activities, and presentations that provide students with essential skills that focus on leadership, civic engagement and advocacy. Developing such skills would help students to become successful leaders and mentors so that they can make a difference within their communities.  

Ahmed has more than 18 years of experience in student support programs and services at CUNY Central Office of Student Affairs. He earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, and a Master degree in Higher Education Administration (MSEd-HEA) from Baruch College, The City University of New York. 

Causes that Ahmed cares about are leadership, advocacy, diversity, inclusion, equality, equity, human rights, community service, emotional and social intelligence, International higher education and global citizenship.
